What is the digital society and how should I keep it in mind into my digital tourism business? What unites human emotions and digital communities? How should we contextualize and take in mind social networks within our business and its segmentation process? How Internet is modulating the way we act and our own identities? Which social and leisure role have the Big Data era?
Those are the main questions that were addressed last Saturday, October 3 at the Digital Society Conference, presented in the city of Vendrell, as part of the program Smart Beach; to promote digital start-ups oriented to beaches, leisure and tourism into the same city .
From different social disciplines such as sociology, political science, anthropology and cultural ethnography, I had the pleasure to explore and expose some of the pioneering fields of the digital social sciences in terms of social and digital relationship.
